During the growing season, fresh flowers are a part of High Horse Lodge ambiance with arrangements on the dining and bed side tables
: zinnias, phlox, marguerite daisies, cosmos, and more. In addition, they are a part of the landscaping of the lodge.

A planting of fresh  basil, thyme, chives, rosemary and oregano are available in the garden for guests of High Horse Lodge.

Puzzles and Board Games
A camel back trunk under the log stairs holds a stellar supply of board games and puzzles for both children and adults. A University of Alabama Crimson Tide 500 piece puzzle, 3 hand cut High Horse Lodge picture puzzles, a prize winning Italian design animal puzzle, Clue, Sorry, checkers, scrabble and Mentoneopoly (a computer generated local version of Monopoly which has Mentone realty for sale) join playing cards.

Lighting by Iron Age Crafters

Sconces in the hall, upper bedroom, on the stairway, and porch are samples of Silhouettes in Light by Iron Age Crafters, Inc. This design and manufacturing company is composed of your host and hostess.

Handmade cloth napkins, original Iron Age Crafters napkin rings, Mae Gray pottery coasters,  and Delray O'Rear hand quilted table mats are the usual at High Horse Lodge. Fresh flowers top the table seasonally.

 Jill Wyse of Sassy Milk Soap Company is supplying our private label HHL goat milk soaps,  and shampoos for guests.  Seems a natural with the herd of fainting goats in the pasture.  Speaking of goat milk, we invite our guests to come at sunset to meet and greet the goat herd on the adjacent farm.

Balcony plantings
The bedroom balconies feature garden antique benches and impatiens for you to enjoy your cup of morning coffee or glass of evening wine.

Kitchen Pantry
The pantry is stocked with staples such as sugar and creamer, coffee, cooking oil, spices, Pam, oatmeal, teas, baking powder and soda, things that you might need in small quantities. And of course, paper napkins, paper towels plastic cutlery and paper plates are on hand. A first aid kit fills a basket and emergency supplies such as candles and a lantern are on hand.
A cooler is available for your picnics.
       In the refrigerator are salad dressings, butter, flour, condiments like catsup and mustard, bbq sauce, and cold frosted beer mugs.

Large walk-in closets are part of your bedroom fittings. Find suitcase holders, covered or wooden coat hangers, shelving, and extra pillows and blankets.
