DEPOSIT INFORMATION
We have made enormous efforts to provide a wondrous experience for you at High Horse Lodge. We have furnished the cabin with original art and craft work, good tableware, top of the line linens, etc. We ask that guests treat the lodge as they would their own houses. This is a guest house, not “just a rental”.
Pursuant to your Rental Agreement, you are liable for all replacements and repairs that are outside what is considered normal wear and tear, and you have authorized in writing that High Horse Lodge charge your credit card to cover said costs. If cost of replacement or repairs exceeds your credit limit, you have agreed, in writing, to pay the difference to High Horse Lodge. In the event of a dispute concerning a security deposit, arguments/claims will be filed and heard in the jurisdiction of High Horse Lodge, Walker County, Ga.
Understand that good business requires the deposit rules, but we hope we are never put into a position to enforce these rules. Your credit card is being held on file to protect the property. If you have an accident or damage, please report it to us immediately and we will work with you to remedy the situation as quickly and painlessly as possible. Unreported damage almost always results in a charge, but reported problems can usually be solved quickly and easily.
What would be reason for deposit charge? Some possibilities are listed below.
1. Late check out- past noon. If you have need of late check out, just call us in advance and we can usually work it out without charge.
2. Stains on rugs and upholstery
3. Abuse of furniture and flooring – please leave boots on the porch.
4. Pets in the house or on the grounds We keep a herd of about 70
goats in nearby fenced pastures. They are guarded by large guard
dogs that might harm visitor dogs or cats that are loose on the
grounds. This rule is for your protection and for the protection of
the goat herds.
5. Lost keys - $20
6. Failure to comply with Check out Rules, posted in High Horse Lodge.
7. Damage to environment when horses are ridden off trails. Horse
